The Avaya IP 500 Telephone System is part of the Avaya IP Office family. The Avaya IP 500 is our most popular Avaya system. An award-winning small and medium business telephone system, in simple terms, the beauty of the Avaya IP 500 is that it is a budget-conscious system which only grows with you as your business itself grows.

In other words, when the business is small, the IP 500 is a very affordable small office telephone system, but when and if the business grows, additional licenses can be purchased to enable more features. This makes the IP500 base cost lower than other telephone systems, which is why it is our small business telephone system of choice.

The standard IP 500 telephone system runs a maximum of 32 users restricted to the base control unit. This system has capacity for 16 analogue trunks, 4 digital trunks or optionally, SIP trunks. It also enables the use of applications such as Embedded Voicemail, Phone Manager, Lite/Pro/PC Softphone, SoftConsole, TAPI, SMDR (call tracking), CBC, SIP Trunking (through optional licenses) and IP DECT. But, by adding IP Office Professional Edition upgrade license, the IP 500 system can be expanded to include up to 272 phones.

The IP Office IP 500 Professional Edition can be expanded to include up to eight external expansion modules.
